Welcome to West Coast GearHeads

After several months of planning, design, and testing, WestCoastGearHeads.com has a new home. We've moved to a new server and completely reconfigured the website with new Content Management and Forum software. We are excited to be among the first to install and use vbulletin v4.0, which was just released in December 2009. Checkout the site and let us know what you think.



West Coast GearHeads is an Intereactive Online Magazine that lets you, "The GearHead" write your own magazine articles and to tell the world your story. If you are like other gearheads and just rebuilt your brakes, swapped-out your transmission, ran some great times at the track, or just want to show-off your car you're at the right place. Unlike traditional magazines, West Coast GearHeads puts you in the spotlight and hands you the microphone. So, what do you want to say? Did you just buff your paint, install new wheels, put a lift kit on your truck? Go ahead, speak up... tell us all about it.


Your article has three main areas that it can be posted:

1. In a forum post (as you may already be used to)
2. Here, in the Magazine section
3. and, In your own blog section

Want your article on the front page of the magazine? Simply post your article in one of the forum areas and add a note that you would like the article in the magazine. We will review your article to make sure it is complete and appropriate for the front page. Don't worry, we'll check your spelling and grammar but, it is up to you to make sure the article is in good taste, does not plagerize someone else's work, and is work safe. Be sure to make it an interesting read and you'll do just fine.
If you like writing articles, checkout the blog section. Did you know you can have your own and invite everyone to check it out? That's right, now you can blab all you want about your garage, tools, or whatever. You can even add your own pictures, just make sure it's GearHead related.
